Juniors Academy
Phase Two of the ADF Player Pathway
ADF Junior Academy
The ADF Junior Academy is designed for players who have developed strong technical foundations and are ready to transition from 9v9 into the full 11v11 game. At this stage, athletes are introduced to higher-level tactical concepts, including team shape, attacking and defending principles, playing under pressure, and adapting to the speed and demands of the full field.
This phase serves as a critical bridge to elite development. Many ADF players progress toward opportunities with Timbers Academy, while the majority successfully transition into competitive high school soccer, where exposure to college pathways begins. Even when competing against MLS NEXT or ECNL-level clubs, our players stand out because of the training environment and standards established at ADF.
Our Junior Academy is a highly competitive boys program that begins each May following annual tryouts and runs year-round through the following May.
Program Structure
Players participate in a complete, year-round development calendar:
2–3 training sessions per week
Summer tournaments
Fall league competition
Optional winter futsal program
Spring league season
State Cup competition
Competitive Platform
All ADF top teams compete in the EA2 (Elite Academy League), providing a direct pathway toward MLS NEXT and top regional competition.
Second teams compete within OYSA leagues, with opportunities to qualify for the National 1 League and participate in State Cup, ensuring every player has access to meaningful competition at the appropriate level.
While league titles are not our primary focus, our training standards and culture consistently prepare players to perform at the highest levels. This environment has helped many athletes advance to Timbers Academy, Timbers 2, ODP, college soccer, and professional pathways.
The ADF Experience
Whether a player is continuing their development or pushing toward elite levels, every athlete at ADF is part of a supportive environment built on teamwork, respect, discipline, and personal growth.
At ADF, we are more than a team — we are a family.
